You can help Habitat for Humanity of Louisa County make a difference!
With the spring and summer months upon us, our mission to build or renovate as many homes as possible for families, seniors, and those in a need of safe, affordable places to call home hasn’t changed. By building strong and stable homes, Habitat also builds strong and stable communities.
We have made tremendous progress on the two Blueberry Lane houses currently under construction. Although we have had to temporarily stop work on these two homes, we expect to resume construction in the coming months and rapidly move towards completion. When the medical experts and government officials determine it is safe to go back to work, we will gather our team and hit the ground running. Upon completion of the Blueberry homes, the next two home builds are already in the preliminary stage of planning.
We are grateful for the volunteer crews, contractors, community organizations, and all who have contributed to building these homes. We are especially proud of the partner families who will be acquiring these homes for the tremendous number of sweat equity hours they have given to the project. Working beside the volunteer crew, they have had the benefit of helping build the homes where their families will grow and thrive.
And we are most grateful to our donors and supporters who help Habitat for Humanity of Louisa County make the dream of homeownership possible for local families. Your financial support and contributions of time, materials, and food are a tribute to the wonderful community we serve.
Together we will continue to help make Louisa County a place where everyone can find a decent and affordable place to live.
